The Caruana is an Italian violin from the middle of the 20th century. He was from Rome as was Lucci. As I'm sure you are aware, Italian violins have always been considered to be the best for overall quality and resale value. This violin is in mint condition as you can see. It has a big and rich tone with excellent carrying power. This violin is certified by Dario D'Attili who was for many years considered to be the best in this area. The Brinser book which is the dictionary for 20th century Italian violins lists Caruana with two stars. That is nearly the best rating you can have. Back to Top
