Ettore Siega Violin 1921

Ettore Siega (b.1860, d.1936) was a luthier who lived and worked in Venice, Italy. He studied under both Eugenio Degani and G. Schwarz and was awarded several gold medals during his career. His son, Iginio, also took up the luthier trade.

This Siega violin was made in Venice and is an excellent example of the maker’s work. Lovely spruce and flamed maple are enhanced by a rich, deep-toned, orangey-red varnish. This violin boasts a mature and well-balanced tone. Its rich, warm, voluminous sound will be appreciated by any demanding musician.
