Andreas Borelli Violin, c.1920, 1/2 Size

Andreas Borelli was an Italian-born violin maker, active in Parma during the early-mid 1700s. The Borelli school of violin making that developed in his style was adopted by workshops in Mirecourt, France and can be found as a trade name on models from the Thibouville-Lamy violin company and the workshop of Paul Mangenot dating to the early and mid 1900s.

This elegant, hand-crafted model boasts a predictably warm, clear tone, brilliant sound, and strong resonance. This French violin is around 100 years old and is in excellent condition, from its components to the lovely antiqued varnish in rich reddish-brown hues. Any serious student or consummate professional will enjoy this violin's rich voice and balanced playing.
